Performs equipment preventive maintenance and repairs for Manufacturing, Quality and R&D departments. Must have the ability to follow applicable maintenance procedures and troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic and mechanical equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining electronic and hard copy equipment files. Possess a functional understanding of installation, set-up and operation of manufacturing and test equipment. Has the ability to utilize available resources to acquire equipment information for repair, reference and research purposes. Understands and executes engineering test protocols and procedures. Maintain spare parts inventory, process and track requisitions to ensure timely arrival. Act as liaison with outside contractors and vendors for equipment service, repair and contracted maintenance. Will be expected to learn other equipment systems, i.e. Equipment Calibration, Equipment Validation. Respond to equipment and environmental alarms during off hours when required (On Call).
Main Areas of Responsibilities
Perform Preventive Maintenance on production, Quality and R&D equipment
Enter all equipment events into database and complete all required equipment forms.
Equipment installations, including start up and commissioning.
Initiate equipment excursions and ensure records are complete and closed in a timely fashion.
Maintain equipment spare parts inventory and purchase parts as required.
Work with outside contractors and vendors for equipment service, repair and contracted maintenance
Respond to environmental and equipment alarms as needed (On Call)
Execute equipment qualification protocols
Implement LEAN principles to streamline our processes and increase efficiency.
- 3+ years’ experience preferred
Using a database and reporting functions
MS Excel and MS Word proficiency
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
Familiar with GDP
High School Diploma
Technical School or Associate Degree in Engineering
