The role of the Country Training Manager is to plan, organise and lead all UK& Ireland Commercial Team training across all business units. The role focuses on the effective implementation and follow-up of regionally defined sales training and development strategy as well as local operational training plans. Based in our Marlow offices the Country Training Manager will work closely with our International Training Managers, the Business Unit leads as well as the regulatory, medical affairs and marketing teams to ensure all UK&I sales teams are performing to the best of their capabilities whilst maintaining compliance. Some travel on a regular basis is required for ongoing in-field training and assessment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver and co-ordinate newstarter (Initial Training Course – ITC) and secondary/follow-up training

  • Collaborate with HR and BUD/BUMson recruitment, general training and development programs for High Potentials.

  • Provide Medical and Marketing ITCfor Regulatory and Quality Managers and Customer Service Team.

  • Provide coaching and/ordevelopment for the field force including Reps, RAMs and Sales Managers (postassessment)

  • Ensure Selling Skills interventionas needed and support/provide evaluation of Reps to BUD/BUM and Sales Managers.

  • Lead deployment of new L&Dinitiatives across all BUs.

  • Manage electronic learningplatform for UK&I organisation.

  • Execute training programs tosupport the marketing campaign roll-outs through the year.

  • Support follow-up on the implementationof sales materials through fieldwork.

  • Provide essential feedback to Regionalmarketing and local Product Manager on the effective use of materials by thesales force.

  • Participate in market researchtests.


  • Educated to degree level orequivalent

  • Significant experience in thePharmaceutical industry including proven track record in healthcare sales andmanagement (ABPI qualified)

  • Experience in project managingagencies to deliver training initiatives

  • Experience in directly planningand delivering training / coaching to individuals with wide range of experiencefrom new starters to senior managers

  • Excellent communication skills,both written and oral and fluency in English

  • Good current understanding ofhealthcare environment in country (s) supported
