This is a crucial role in our International Strategic Marketing team that ensures financial forecasts for current and future assets are well constructed and consistent with their deployment across the business. The incumbent will have accountability with the Portfolio Leaders across all business units for provision of validated forecast and assumptions to support corporate processes such as LRP. They will also support ISM leads and Finance partners during brand and financial planning cycle.
Working closely with Portfolio Leads, develop aconsistent, robust and replicable approach to the forecasting of sales andexpenses associated with new indications, segments and categories relevant toour International Portfolio
Identify best in class methodologies forupstream forecasts, develop and share consistent principles across TAs
Work closely with internal customers acrossPortfolio Group to understand needs and proactively seek areas for drivingvalue and process improvement to ensure optimization of available sources, andidentification of solutions where gaps are identified to underpin strongforecasts
Work closely with the Primary Market Researchteam to develop and implement solutions to data gaps relevant to portfolioforecasts
Work with Portfolio Leads and CommercialAssessment to support the rapid forecasts needed to assess externalopportunities in our areas of interest
Quality control of forecasting work undertakenby third parties, and establish best-practice principles that can be appliedacross therapeutic areas
Provide structured training for extended teammembers and support for Countries in populating pipeline models for financialprocesses
Maintain awareness of available data sources inthe market and proactively recommend additional or updated tools and resourcesto improve customer and market insight.
Act as an ambassador and reference point fordata sources internally – including those available via the Virtual Library
Manage offshore analysts by developingforecasting and commercial assessment expertise of the Forecasting Team
Support ad hoc analysis as requested by internalcustomers regarding specific market information and new markets from SecondarySources.
Conduct ad-hoc analysis; building and developingP&L for launch markets and support the leadership team in decidinginvestment priorities of the portfolio
University degree or equivalent, higher level inscience or business preferred
Significant work experience in marketingresearch/marketing information area ideally in client side and forPharmaceutical / Healthcare industry
Proven track record integrating market data andmanipulating large, complex multiple sources to support business decisions
Solid understanding of analytical quantitativemethods in information management
Extensive experience in using a variety of mainstreamsecondary data sources
Experience in creating and improving systems forinformation processing
Strong numerical, analytical, IT and writingskills – fluent in English
Strong organizational skills, able to manageongoing and adhoc requests; able to work with high energy in a fast, diverseand multicultural environment
Able to manage conflicting priorities and urgentdemands with a proactive and flexible attitude and to instil the sameconfidence in others
Develops and uses collaborative relationships tofacilitate accomplishment of business goals; strong team player qualities
