The Warehouse Lead is responsible for performing and coordinating activities of employees as directed by the Manager Warehouse and Logistics. Such activities may include overseeing the shipping and receiving processes to completion, problem solving, training employees, maintaining compliance with regulations and Company policies, monitoring inventory, and interfacing with Company employees from other departments. The Warehouse Lead is also responsible for performing the duties of the Material Handler.
Main Areas of Responsibilities
Processes materials received and enters goods receipts into the warehouse management system.
Processes finished goods shipments into warehouse management system.
Maintains accuracy of warehouse inventory thru the cycle counting program.
Counts and examines packages for damages and reports discrepancies.
Prepares and verifies freight bills and shipping documents for LTL and full truck load shipments.
Warehouses raw materials, components and supplies.
Unloads trucks manually and with powered industrial trucks.
Stores and processes rejected materials.
Utilizes warehouse management system to distribute materials to production areas and returns unused materials to warehouse.
Prepares UPS shipments using UPS World Ship.
Operates company truck to transport materials within the facility and from local suppliers.
Complies with all applicable and current GMP guidelines, pertinent standard operating procedures (SOP) and OSHA regulations.
In the absence of Warehouse Supervision, the Warehouse Lead may occasionally act as a Supervisor, maintaining their activities.
Minimum 2 years experience material handling in a warehouse environment.
Minimum 2 years forklift experience
Valid state drivers’ license.
Basic computer operation skills.
Successful completion of Forests powered industrial truck safety and proficiency testing.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
