Supply Chain Planner

The Supply Planner position will be responsible for translating the sales forecast into a supply plan for manufacturing execution, providing requirements to third party manufacturing sites, working closely with sites to ensure on-time delivery of finished goods according to requirements, managing daily inventory requirements through direct coordination with other functional groups, but not limited to, Logistics, Procurement, Regulatory, Quality Assurance, Sales, and Marketing. The Supply Planner will ensure best practices are leveraged in Supply and Inventory Management processes for Regional Finished Goods. This position reports to the Associate Director of Supply Chain Planning, EAME.

Main Areas of Responsibilities

  • Develop Regional supply plan based on sales forecast and manufacturing constraints.

  • Translate supply plan into executable purchase orders with third party manufacturers.

  • Work with third party manufactures on a routine basis to deliver requested finished goods inventory according to scheduled timeline and quantity requirements.

  • Ensure the adherence to Global Operations standards for Supply Planning and Third Party Manufacturing.

  • Optimize inventory/supply holdings to limit excess and obsolete inventory while ensuring satisfaction of customer orders.

  • Coordinate inventory shipments amongst operational and quality teams to ensure seamless delivery to distribution centers.

  • Balance inventory requirements to minimize the potential for back-orders.

  • Support and participation in the Sales and Operations Planning Process (S&OP) through relevant metric reporting and summary of key supply/capacity constraints.

  • Support requirements relating to the Company’s Quality Management System (Deviation, CAPA’s, Change Control and Learning management system)

  • Carry out activities in line with Department SOP’s / Work Instructions

Education and Experience

The following listed requirements need to be met at a minimum level to be considered for the job:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related degree

  • 1 to 2 years’ experience in a supply chain analyst or planner position, or equivalent position

  • Pharmaceutical / Medical device industry knowledge and experience is an advantage

  • SAP ECC, MRP experience is an advantage

  • Results Orientation – ability to create better ways of doing things, so that higher levels of performance are possible and can be replicated.

  • Strong creative and conceptual thinking skills

  • Analytical and problem resolution skills. Ability toanticipate and detect supply issues and lead the prompt resolution to minimize or negate market impact.

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a matrixed organization

  • Ability to execute key strategies

  • Manage and prioritize work load, multi-task and manage a diverse mix of issues, responsibilities and challenges

  • Experiencein establishing and maintaining effective relationships with management, peers, subordinates and customers

  • Ability to perform multi-scenario and complex tasks
