Position Overview

The Marketing Director, Glaucoma Surgical is responsible for the strategy development and tactical execution for the fast growing U.S. Glaucoma business, development and implementation of an integrated launch strategy for Xen® as well provide strategic direction and value to drive demand for the entire franchise,

A reas of Responsibilities

  • Responsible for a comprehensive glaucoma marketing plan and programs for our key customers

  • Conduct and direct market analysis of the surgical experience of key customers and provide solutions to motivate customers to start or continue on our brands by emphasizing the benefits or reducing the hurdles in the marketplace.

  • Lead all fulfillment and distributions strategies, Direct-To-Patient initiatives, customer service programs, and manage conversion and retention strategies.

  • Work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to ensure cohesive strategy and be responsible for the promotional budget.

  • Must conduct their work activities in compliance with all Allergan internal requirements and with all applicable regulatory requirements. Allergan internal requirements include compliance with ethics, environmental health and safety, financial, human resources, and general business policies, requirements and objectives.

The following listed requirements need to be met at a minimum level to be considered for the job:

  • Five (5) plus years Surgical/Device product management experience

  • Knowledge of health care, and or pharmaceutical industry

  • Supervisory experience a plus

  • Two (2) years health care field sales experience preferred

  • Three (3) years Eye Care experience preferred


  • Undergraduate degree within a relevant course of study, a graduate degree (MBA) strongly preferred
