Position Overview

Position will be responsible for the access and reimbursement for the Eyecare (medical benefit) and Regenerative Medicine Franchises. The Executive Director Payer Marketing will work cross functionally to develop on Access and reimbursement Strategy, Value proposition development.


Main Areas of Responsibilities

  • Overall Access Strategy for each segment, Value Proposition Development, development of specific Managed Care promotional pieces; development of, and participation in, Managed Care specific workshops for training sessions.

  • Lead a cross functional team to achieve overall access goals including Brand Team, Pricing, HEOR, Account Management, Contracting, Medical, Sales, Managed Markets Operations .

  • Coordinate directly with Pricing and HEOR on overall GTN strategy, Pricing and Identifying gaps in Value Proposition for further study.

  • Develop reimbursement and access strategy for pipeline assets (Abicipar and Durysta). Including Coverage, Coding and Payment strategies for both Medicare MAC, MAPD, Medicaid and Commercial segments

  • Represent Market Access leadership within Eyecare and Regenerative Medicaid Marketing and Sales leadership teams


The following listed requirements need to be met at a minimum level to be considered for the job:

  • Must have a strong back ground and knowledge of the US Reimbursement landscape for pharmaceutical products (both Pharmacy and Medical reimbursement). Focus on medical reimbursement and coding.

  • The individual must be well versed in commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, other government, and specialty segments.

  • The individual should have 10 years of Pharmaceutical/Healthcare experience with 5+ years of Managed Markets experience in various roles with strong emphasis on product and account strategy. Worked within a sophisticated, complex corporate environment, as defined by size, geographic presence and/or organizational structure

  • This individual must have a thorough understanding of marketing principles and practices within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry including a demonstrated ability to develop strategic plans, conduct and interpret market research, and understand the regulatory environment.

Preferred Skills/Qualification

  • Prior reimbursement management/support a plus


  • Undergraduate degree within a relevant course of study, a graduate degree strongly preferred
