Position Overview

This position works with the SkinMedica® Business unit and has the overall responsibility for planning, executing and management of the Professional Retail Optimization Programs (PRO), customer events and promotional tracking. The Meetings Manager collaborates with the Customer Education Team and Marketing Managers to ensure alignment with business unit objectives. This position is responsible for developing strategic plans, outlining SkinMeidca’s marketing presence, promotions and activities at each event. Responsibilities include incorporating key product messages, product displays, program design/layout, and innovative ideas to engage customers and enhance the SkinMedica® education platform. The Meetings Manager is also responsible for developing promotional materials in coordination with internal teams and external agency partners. The position is responsible for managing a $1M budget and must deliver programs on schedule and within budget. This role requires interfacing with SkinMedica Leadership, Marketing and Education. Fostering strong relationships with internal teams, agencies and vendors is critical.

Main Areas of Responsibilities

  • Professional Retail Optimization Meeting Planning. Responsible for contract negotiation and facilitation for 80+ PRO Seminars across the country.

  • Planning all logistics within the venue for the PRO events to include, but not limited to the following: setup requirements, Audio Visual requirements, F&B selections, parking and shipping logistics.

  • Supervising vendor relationships and sourcing for new vendors.

  • Managing the registration website and the creation of it for all 80 events. Accurately reporting all 80 programs into Beacon. This position is also responsible for venue selection, decor and operations of customer event

  • Manages the creation of promotional resources including creation of promotional bags, sell sheets, banners, displays, workbooks etc.

  • Coordination and partnership with sales operations, customer service and other internal teams to drive promotional planning and enhance education platform.

  • Coordination with external vendors to enhance creative materials to align with education strategy.

  • Facilitate the printing and inventory management for all materials.

  • Develop and manages annual PRO Education budget closely for all events and program materials to provide the greatest ROI possible.

  • Implement new procedures for materials to stay within the allocated budget.

  • Analyzes operating expenses to ensure sound expenditures and adherence to budget.

  • Makes recommendations to sales and marketing management to ensure the greatest ROI.

  • Manages shipping, installation and set up to ensure the program is equipped with resources.

  • Ensures programs and materials/activities are compliant.

  • Collaborates with Education Team, Region Managers, Marketing Managers, SkinMedica® leadership and recommends changes/enhancements to programs when applicable and ensures alignment to overall SkinMedica® business strategy


  • 3-5 years tradeshow/convention/meeting planning experience

B.A. or B.S. degreeor equivalent combination of experience and education required
