This role will serve as a CoE for Direct Marketing Expenses (DME) and Patient Support Programs, providing operational and transactional support for marketing programs. Primary focus is the management and tracking of DME spend, supporting multiple franchises in the transactional aspects of direct marketing programs. Secondary focus is the oversight of patient support programs and related pharmacovigilance requirements around adverse event reporting.
Position requires active collaboration with other functions including Marketing, Finance, Procurement, Accounts Payable, Pharmacovigilance and Safety Operations.
Budget/Project Planning: Establish and maintain close collaboration with marketing teams to gain thorough understanding of their budgets, projects, vendor relationship and roles & responsibilities
Budget Reconciliation and Forecasting: Manage accruals of Direct Marketing Expenses; coordinate closing activities and analyze actuals vs budget. Submit budget and forecast of Direct Marketing Expense data in planning system (BPC)
DME Transactions: Create purchase requisitions, change orders, and manage other transactions
Vendor Payments: Manage all aspects of vendor payments in collaboration with Accounts Payable
Patient Support Program: Lead process for reporting on Patient Support Programs, managing tracking system and monitoring adherence with policy requirements
Minimum 3 years’ work experience required, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry
Experience with direct marketing programs in a regulated industry
Proficient in Microsoft Excel (intermediate to advanced)Proficient in SAP or other financial tracking systems
Financial acumen - understanding of monthly closing, journal entries and financial reporting
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Business or Finance
