Primary Responsibility: Management of serialisation project (Track and Trace) in Allergan Westport. The Project Manager , serialisation is responsible for managing a team of engineering, validation, IS, Copy and Production resources that will implement the Westport part of the allergan Global serialisation project. The primary responsibility of the role is to ensure that the team meet their project goals/targets on time and on budge to provide support and help the team. The Project Manager also works with the corporate serialisation team and global colleagues and peers within the organisation when coordinating the serialisation project that impacts multiple sites.
Motivate direct reports through effective communication and use of clear and concise direction
Regular review of project status with reports to ensure all projects on schedule and bude4t
Liase with BU's to ensure all requirements are captured and the project is completed to EHS and Regulatory requirements.
Coach and develop reports to support the company's succession planning and IDP's
Liase with the global serialisation team, Global Packaging regulatory and other external functions as required.
Provide input and review for 5-year strategic plan
Support the strategic serialisation site project and other projects that it may impact
Ensure direct reports have adequate skill sets to deliver on the project
Ensure minimal interruption to the packaging areas and when required liase with planning to plan deliver on the project
Ensure minimal interruption to the packaging areas and when required liase with planning to plan downtime well ahead of schedule
Ensure minimal impact to OEE on the packaging lines after the introduction of sterilization equipment.
Manage the day-to-day operation of the engineering Department
Manage the E&T response to crisis situations
Manage the inter and intra departmental issues as they arise
4) Administration/ Meetings
Hold twice- weekly APEX meeting with reports
Hold monthly department meetings with reports
Support reports at Project site meetings
Attend external corporate meetings as required
Education and Experience/ Knowledge
Third level Engineering qualification
Minimum 5years experience in a high volume, pharma or similar environment
Strong project management experience of large scale capital projects
Experience in cost control of large capital projects
Strong managerial and leadership skills to motivate and manage individuals working on several projects simultaneously
Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills both oral and written.
